About Us:

Local 677 was first organized in 1935.  We were chartered by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in 1940 and since our inception have evolved into a diverse and dynamic Local, changing and adapting as conditions demand. 

Teamsters Local 677 represents approximately 2400 men and women at more than 67 Companies throughout the Northwest Region of Connecticut.  Members of Local 677 cover almost every profession imaginable, from warehouse workers to truck drivers, from UPS drivers to waste water treatment professionals, from office clerical to skilled maintenance employees, from mechanics to bus drivers, from salesman and women to public works employees, from school lunch personnel to school bus drivers, from construction workers to custodians.  If you can think of a job, there is probably a Local 677 member performing that job somewhere in our Region.

Our Executive Board consists of seven (7) members.  Our Executive Officer is Secretary-Treasurer Dennis Raymond.  Our full-time Representatives are President and Business Agent George Brier, Vice-President and Business Agent John Capobianco, Recording Secretary, Business Agent and Organizer Warren Lucid.  Three (3) Trustees, Frank Bonacassio, Robert Gibbons and Thomas Rugh, complete our Executive Board.
