Teamsters' Bus Donation to Benefit Needy in Honduras

Warm greetings from the mission Church in Honduras, diocese of Juticalpa.

I would like to express my gratitude for your collaboration in sending the Pullman Bus, donated by the Teamsters Local 25 Boston to the Mexican border. The use of the Road Tractor and the volunteer drivers Paul and Anthony as well as all the costs involved highly contributed to making the gift of the bus a reality.

The bus is presently on its way to Honduras. I had the opportunity to see it while in the Boston area. It is in great shape and will serve multiple purposes.

We receive throughout the year a number of different service groups from the United States: medical and surgical brigades, sister parishes and colleges and high schools. The bus will be an important logistic means to transfer the groups to and from the airport in Tegucigalpa as well as to carry their supplies to various mission locations throughout the diocese. The trips generally will be between 150 to 200 miles.

You can be assured that the bus will be an important element to serve the health and welfare needs of those in dire situations. It is always a consolation to be part of alleviating the plight of the poor and needy, and through you and your drivers' full collaboration, you will be able to share in so many good works.

May God bless you and yours as well as your professional service to the community. Together let us better the world we live in.

Fraternally,

Most Revered Maurus Muldon, O. F. M., D. D.
Juticalpa, Olancho
Honduars, C.A.
